Two Manchester Department of Public Works employees were injured Thursday when another man fired a gun at them, police said.Manchester police said the two employees were walking on a sidewalk at about 9:20 a.m. when they were approached by a man known to one of them.At one point, the man allegedly pulled out a gun and fired at the workers. I want to extend my deepest gratitude to our first responders and city employees. Our thoughts remain with those affected, and we are grateful for the positive news regarding the victims’ recovery.”Police said the reason for the shooting is under investigation.Several roads were closed while police investigated, but they have since reopened. The DPW suspended its service and closed the drop-off facility. Manchester Water Works also closed its business office on Lincoln Street for the day.
