What Happened Last Game:
On Friday the Lynx took down the Golden state Valkyries for their third straight win, 81-75. Despite an off shooting night from rookie standout Olivia Miles, who leads the team in scoring and assists, Minnesota had four starters in double figures and two with at least 20 points to improve to 13-3. Nia Coffey led the team with 22 points and Courtney Williams went for 21 with 12 rebounds, five assists, two blocks and a steal. Kayla McBride provided 17 points and Natasha Howard had 10 while Miles still had three steals and three blocks despite going one-for-10 from the field.
The Mystics improved to 7-7 on Friday when they went on the road to defeat the New York Liberty, 86-83. Washington’s starting five scored 71 points on the night, led by Kiki Iriafen with 20. Sonia Citron and Georgia Amoore both had eight assists, with Citron scoring 16 points and also collecting six rebounds and swiping five steals while Amoore dropped 10 points. Shakira Austin added 14 points and seven rebounds and Michaela Onyenwere went for 11 points.
