The Oregon football program hosted its ninth fall camp practice on August 8th inside Autzen Stadium. The weekend practice was also the Ducks’ first fall camp scrimmage. As the Ducks are gearing up for their 2025 football season and in their first scrimmage, head coach Dan Lanning spoke with the media fresh off the practice field to give his takeaways.

Saturday marked the Ducks’ ninth practice of fall camp, and their first of multiple scrimmages. The Ducks will resume practice on Monday, and it’s closed to the media and public. The Ducks’ next scrimmage is expected to be Saturday, August 16th, inside Autzen Stadium. Like all practices, the scrimmage is expected to be closed to all media and the public.

The Ducks will open up its 2025 season at home on August 30th against visiting FCS foe Montana State. Kickoff is set for 1 PM PT, and the game will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network.

Here is a collection of notable quotes that Lanning gave about the scrimmage, Oregon’s fall camp, and the development of the program ahead of the 2025 season.

Dan Lanning’s Opening Comments from Oregon’s first scrimmage of fall camp

“A really solid first scrimmage. Walked away healthy, which is always a plus here in fall camp, be on attack. I think the defense probably won the day today. Eliminated some explosive plays. Did a good job in situational defense overall. We had some positive kicks overall, protected the ball relatively well on the offensive side of the ball, but certainly a physical day and a good day for both for both units.”
