Bucks to receive a forward from Tennessee from Heat in NBA Draft
The 13th pick is part of the reported trade for Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The first of many picks the Milwaukee Bucks received from the Miami Heat in the reported trade for Giannis Antetokounmpo has been made.
The Milwaukee Bucks will receive Nate Ament, a forward from Tennessee, once the trade is made official. Miami selected Ament for Milwaukee with the 13th overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft.
The earliest the trade can be completed is July 6, but this is essentially a done deal for Ament to begin his career in Milwaukee.
The 6-foot-10 forward spent just one season at Tennessee, averaging 16.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in 35 games. He shot 39% from the field and 33% from three for the Vols last year.
Ament was voted to the All-SEC Second Team and the SEC All-Freshman team following his first year in college hoops. He also set the program records for made free throws (196) and single-season free-throw attempts (248) by a freshman. Ament scored the third-most total points (584) by a first-year Vol in program history.
To add on to the accolades, he was named a finalist for the Julius Erving Award, which recognizes the nation’s top small forward.
This is the second freshman the Milwaukee Bucks selected in the 2026 Draft. Milwaukee selected Brayden Burries, a guard from Arizona, with the 10th pick in the draft.
The Bucks do not have any 2nd round picks in the draft, as of Tuesday night. A trade could change things.
