HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – Huntsville police find a large alligator roaming around a residential neighborhood.
After a brief detour through the neighborhood on Haysland Road, the gator made its way back to the preserve on its own.

Officials are warning residents to take precautions when they see wildlife in the city and to give them plenty of space.
Never approach, handle, or feed wild animals, and contact the appropriate authorities if the animal appears injured or poses a safety concern.
Almost two weeks ago, WAFF 48 News covered a story on the same road about an alligator in a local pond.
At this time, it is unclear if this is the same alligator.
