Covington Police are investigating a stabbing that started at a restaurant on Thursday afternoon. Police said it started with an altercation around 1:30 p.m. at the Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken on Scott Street, near E. Sixth Street. Police said there was an argument, in which the victim was stabbed. The suspect then ran to the Kenton County Public Library, about 100 yards away, where he was arrested. Police identified the suspect as James Bonar, 29. He has been charged with attempted murder and was taken to the Kenton County Detention Center. Police said they are investigating and that injuries are non-life-threatening. The victim was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center. The suspect was also taken to the hospital to be treated.
