More rounds of storms Friday; heat alerts possible this weekend
The best chance for storms will be late into the afternoon and through the evening near the coast.

We’re in store for more rounds of afternoon storms Friday with hot, humid weather ahead of the rain. Showers and storms will develop by the late afternoon and build near the coast this evening. Overnight lows will only fall into the upper 70s.
Your Gulf Coast Weather Most Accurate Forecast calls for rain chances to remain elevated Saturday, with scattered storms by the late afternoon. Highs will reach the mid 90s this weekend, with feels-like temperatures well into the triple digits.
Heat alerts may be issued this weekend, so be sure to stay hydrated. Consider limiting outdoor strenuous activities during the peak heat in the afternoons.
Rain chances will decrease slightly on Sunday as drier air associated with Saharan dust filters into the Gulf Coast. While afternoon storms will still be possible, many communities will stay dry and hazy. A more active pattern returns by the middle of next week.
