NEW BERN, N.C. (WITN) – There’s new video that shows some of the antics of the bear that was spotted Thursday in downtown New Bern.
Patrick McLoughlin sent us video of the bear at the New Bern Grand Marina.
He says the bear swam in and then climbed up the dock. In one of the videos, you can see the bear try to get past the gate, but he struggles and falls into the water.
In another video, you can see the bear get out of the water, bang on the gate, and finally, climb over it to escape.
There’s also a video of the bear just swimming around in the water for a while.
Pictures viewers sent us on Thursday showed the bear roaming around downtown before scampering away.
