A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for parts of southern New Hampshire and parts of Massachusetts on Friday afternoon.
The warning is for Belknap, Carroll, Cheshire, Grafton, Concord, Hillsborough, Merrimack, Rockingham, Strafford, and Sullivan counties. Additionally, Hampden, Hampshire, and Worcester counties in Massachusetts, according to the National Weather Service.
The warning is slated for 5:45 p.m. for New Hampshire, while Massachusetts is set for 6:15 p.m.
The National Weather Service says that parts of Massachusetts can see upwards of 60 mph wind gusts and quarter-sized hail.
Additionally, a thunderstorm watch is in effect until 9:00 p.m. Friday night.
“Storms may contain strong gusty winds, hail & even a brief tornado cannot be ruled out. Please seek shelter if placed under a warning!” Boston 25 Meteorologist Aj Mastrangelo says.
