LAYER has designed Node and Loft, a new family of charging products for Daily Objects that transforms everyday power into an expressive, design-led ecosystem. Comprising the modular Node wireless charging ecosystem and Loft charging station, the characterful collection brings order and flexibility to the devices that support daily life, from phones, earbuds and watches to laptops, tablets and home appliances.

Developed as part of a wider visual language for lifestyle brand Daily Objects, Node and Loft are multi-device charging products designed to be proudly displayed in the home, transforming everyday charging into a playful, personal interaction. Soft playful forms, arched silhouettes, tactile materials, considered colour and a recurring circular charging motif create a cohesive design language that injects character into the category, helping tech accessories feel expressive and naturally integrated in domestic, work and travel settings

“Charging your tech is one of the most repeated interactions in daily life, yet the products that enable it are often treated as background objects,” says Benjamin Hubert, founder of LAYER. “With Node and Loft, we wanted to bring clarity, flexibility and character to that experience and create a family of products to the fore, that work beautifully, feel intuitive to use, and establish a distinctive visual language for Daily Objects.”

Node: a modular ecosystem

Node is a modular wireless charging ecosystem designed to adapt to the way people move through the day. Built around a one-wire setup, the system can be configured with either a 2-in-1 or 3-in-1 dock and four interchangeable modules: a Wireless Charging Phone Stand, Wireless Charging Disk, Apple Watch Charging Stand and Portable Lamp.

Each module can be docked into the base or used independently, allowing users to build, rearrange and adapt their charging setup across different spaces and routines. The Wireless Charging Phone Stand delivers Qi2.2-certified 25W fast wireless charging and features a built-in 7800mAh battery, allowing it to move from desk to bedside without interruption. The Wireless Charging Disk offers the same 25W fast wireless charging in a compact form for phones and earbuds, while the Apple Watch Charging Stand provides elevated 5W wireless charging with a sculpted magnetic form.

The Portable Lamp introduces ambient light into the system and extends the ecosystem beyond device charging. Designed to dock into the Node base or move independently through the home, it features a built-in battery with up to eight hours of battery life and three dimming modes. The lamp’s glass diffuser and aluminium detailing elevate the material quality of the collection, while the handle reinforces the arched silhouette that defines the wider visual language.

Loft: a desk essential

The Loft charging station brings mains power and fast USB-C charging into a compact, sculptural desktop object. Designed to power up to four devices at once, it features two fast charging mains ports for laptops, tablets and phones, alongside two USB-C ports.

The product’s soft, arched form lifts power access onto the desk, making charging easier, cleaner and more intuitive. Angled, forward-facing ports support one-hand plug-in access, while a 1.5m braided nylon cord, integrated cable loop and silicone base keep workspaces tidy and stable. Available in Charcoal, Clay, Forest and Mandarin, Loft brings a sense of personality to a typically utilitarian category, transforming the power strip into an object that belongs on display.
