Former Detroit Red Wings forward Jakub Vrana held out for as long as he could hoping the NHL would give him another chance. It wasn’t happening, so the former promising offensive talent has signed a two-year deal with Linkoping of the Swedish Hockey League.
“It’s been a pretty hectic summer,” Vrana said on Linkoping’s web site. “I left the U.S. and then I had a couple of options around Europe, but for me personally, I chose with my heart. The fact that we’ve got everything sorted out is a relief and I’m extremely happy to be coming back to Linköping as I basically grew up in the city.”
