After nearly three decades of serving Bulloch County, Dr. Glen J. Dasher is reshaping his local practice to offer more personalized, membership-based primary care.
Residents in the Boro and Bulloch County have a new primary care option grounded in prevention and deeper physician-patient relationships with the area’s first MDVIP-affiliated practice led by board-certified family medicine physician Glen J. Dasher, MD.
Dr. Dasher has served patients across the region for the past 28 years, and his private practice located at 1140 Brampton Avenue in Statesboro has been a cornerstone of local healthcare since 2009. By joining the MDVIP network, Dr. Dasher has reshaped how he delivers care, moving from the traditional model in which he was previously seeing 30 more patients per day to a smaller practice designed around each individual patient’s needs and long-term health.
“The greatest joy in my practice has always been the relationships and lasting friendships I’ve built with my patients. My passion is helping people feel their best by preventing health problems before they occur, guiding them toward healthier lives, and praying for them and their well-being,” said Dr. Dasher, whose clinical interests include diabetes, cardiovascular health, lipid management and preventive medicine.
“Over the past 28 years, I’ve watched medicine change in ways that often make it harder to provide the kind of care I believe my patients deserve. I want the time to sit down with each person, listen to their concerns, understand the whole picture, and partner with them to create a personalized plan for better health. The MDVIP model gives me the opportunity to do exactly that.”
Smaller Practice, More Time with Patients
As an MDVIP affiliate, Dr. Dasher limits the size of his practice, which allows for more time and in-depth discussions with patients, proactive health management and a stronger doctor-patient relationship. Annual Wellness Program
For the annual membership fee, patients receive a comprehensive yearly health assessment comprised of advanced diagnostic tests and screenings that are not usually covered by insurance. Guided by the results, Dr. Dasher works with patients on developing a personalized wellness plan to help them make healthier lifestyle choices, prevent disease and achieve their specific wellness goals.
Dr. Dasher says he wants to walk the health journey alongside his patients, not just as their physician, but as someone also committed to his own well-being. He believes shifting to MDVIP will allow him to continue practicing in the community for many years to come.
“When I talk to patients about prevention and how the small daily choices add up, I mean it for my own health as well,” Dr. Dasher added. “We’re in this together.”
About Glen J. Dasher, MD
Dr. Glen Dasher was born and raised in Glennville, Georgia. His childhood dream of becoming a physician and returning to his hometown became a reality after graduating from Georgia Southern University, earning his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in August and completing his Family Medicine Residency at Self Memorial Hospital in Greenwood, South Carolina. Rooted in faith, Dr. Dasher describes his practice philosophy as approaching each patient interaction with humility, respect and hope.
He has held multiple leadership roles in the community, including as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia, a member of the Board of Trustees at East Georgia Regional Medical Center and former Medical Director at Glenvue Health and Rehab, where he served for 28 years.
Dr. Dasher and his practice have been honored with multiple ‘Best of the Boro’ awards, including “Best Physician” in 2024. When he isn’t caring for patients, Dr. Dasher enjoys golfing, reading, traveling and church activities.
