AUSTIN, Texas — Austin park rangers rescued a Great Horned Owl found trapped in a balance tank at Garrison Pool in South Austin, the City of Austin Park Rangers said.
The rangers posted about the incident on Facebook on Saturday.

Rangers responded to a call about the owl and safely captured her before transferring her to Austin Wildlife Rescue for evaluation. The owl was wet and tired, and had an abrasion near the base of one of her wings, but was otherwise in good condition, according to rangers.
The owl is expected to stay at Austin Wildlife Rescue for a few days to receive treatment and dry out before being released back near Garrison Park.
