Clark’s record-breaking rookie season
Selected first overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft, Clark started all 40 of Indiana’s regular-season games and poured in 769 points, an average of 19.2 per game. That tally broke the WNBA’s rookie single-season scoring record, surpassing the 744 points triple Olympic gold medallist Seimone Augustus managed in 2006.
Clark set her single-game career high on 15 September 2024, dropping 35 points in a 110-109 win over the Dallas Wings. Clark also drained 122 three-pointers that season, the most ever by a WNBA rookie and the second-most in a single WNBA season behind only Sabrina Ionescu‘s 128.
She also demonstrated her capabilities as a floor general, leading the league with 8.4 assists per game and setting the WNBA single-season assists record with 337. On 17 July 2024 recorded 19 assists in a game against Dallas, a single-game record that still stands. She was named the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year, made her first All-Star team, and earned All-WNBA First Team honours.
