Police are looking for a man who they say fired several gunshots near a Raleigh apartment early Tuesday morning.
The WRAL Breaking News Tracker arrived at the incident near St. Giles Street sometime after 1 a.m. A large portion of the parking lot was taped off with more than a dozen evidence markers for possible bullet casings in front of an apartment building.
Police said the shooting began as a domestic dispute between a man and a woman before the argument escalated and the man began shooting into the air.
The man left the area in a vehicle before officers arrived on scene, according to investigators. Charges are pending.
Police said it did not appear any people or apartment units were hit. Investigators are working to determine if any vehicles were damaged.
