GOOD EVENING WITH ME THIS EVENING IS CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER FAITH LEACH, DELEGATE RUF, COLONEL RYAN LEE, AND COLONEL JACK HERZOG. THIS EVENING, JUST AROUND 8:46 P.M., OFFICERS RECEIVED A CALL FOR A SHOOTING AT QUEENSBURY AND SPALDING. UPON ARRIVAL, THEY LOCATED SIX VICTIMS FOUR MALES, TWO FEMALES. ONE OF THE FEMALE VICTIMS WAS A FIVE YEAR OLD CHILD WHO WAS SHOT IN THE HAND. THANKFULLY, IT DOESN’T APPEAR TO HER INJURY IS VERY SERIOUS. ONE OF THE MALES WAS SHOT AND CRITICAL HOMICIDE UNIT HAS BEEN NOTIFIED. HE IS CURRENTLY IN SURGERY AT AN AREA HOSPITAL. THE REST OF THE VICTIMS RANGE IN AGE FROM 23 TO 52. BOTH OUR HOMICIDE AND OUR DISTRICT DETECTIVE UNITS ARE ON THE SCENE. WE HAVE VERY LITTLE INFORMATION AT THIS POINT. ALL WE KNOW IS THERE’S MULTIPLE ROUNDS FIRED, MULTIPLE VICTIMS. A 38-year-old man who was critically injured in Saturday night’s mass shooting has died, Baltimore police announced Sunday morning. Video above: BPD provides preliminary update after shooting (Saturday night) Baltimore police Commissioner Richard Worley said officers were called around 8:46 p.m. Saturday to the 5100 block of Queensberry Avenue in Park Heights, where a 5-year-old girl and five adults were shot.Worley said the girl was shot in a hand and “thankfully, it doesn’t appear to be very serious.”Police said the remaining five victims include the 5-year-old girl, a 23-year-old woman, a 32-year-old man, a 33-year-old man and a 52-year-old man. All of whom are expected to have non-life-threatening injuries.”It just looked like some people were sitting outside on the porch and up on a vehicle, having some crabs, to be honest, and it looks like somebody just opened fire,” Worley said. “I don’t think you shoot without having a target, so I don’t know who they were targeting, but I’m sure there was somebody who fired these shots that was targeting for somebody. It’s still really early in the investigation.”Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott sent a statement Sunday afternoon to 11 News, saying:”Last night, six people were shot near Pimlico, including a 5-year-old girl. One man has died. My heart is with the victims, their families and the entire community, as Park Heights suffers yet another loss to gun violence.”While we continue to make progress to end this epidemic in our city, as someone who grew up in Park Heights, it is especially painful that young people in my neighborhood continue to experience the same traumatic violence that I did decades ago. “My office has activated a Coordinated Neighborhood Stabilization Response through (the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement), and will continue to wrap our arms around our Park Heights neighbors as they recover from this disgusting act of violence.”As of Sunday evening, no arrests have been made, according to police.
