MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – The Memphis Grizzlies are not done making moves after trading Ja Morant to Portland.
ESPN’s Shams Charania reports the Grizzlies are sending forward Santi Aldama to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for AJ Johnson, a 2030 first-round pick from the Warriors and two future second-round picks.
The Golden State pick is top-20 protected.
Dallas also receives the draft rights to Tarik Biberović, who the Grizzlies drafted in 2023 but has been playing in Europe.
Aldama has emerged into a valuable role player for the Grizzlies in five years in Memphis.
He averaged a career-high 14 points per game with nearly 7 rebounds in 2025-26.
Johnson has seen minimal action since being drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks in 2024 but started 11 games for the Wizards in 2024-25, scoring 9 points per game.
