Rhythm Heaven Groove is finally launching on Nintendo Switch this week, and going along with that, the first set of reviews are now in.
We’ve actually been waiting on this one for a pretty long time. Nintendo announced the title back in March 2025, promising a 2026 launch. For a company that often tends to stick with small announcement to release windows, this was a big irregular.
Rhythm Heaven Groove, the first new entry in the series in over a decade, features the newest set of rhythm games. Japanese musician Tsunku is back on board for the latest beats.

See if you can time your button presses to the beat across new rhythm games that are easy to learn and rewarding to master: over 80 rhythm games for solo play and over 30 for co-op and competitive multiplayer. Catch flying veggies, bounce fruit off your biceps, swing sledgehammers, and other activities – all to the beat! Gather up to four players around a single system to slice arrows, pluck hair from onions, and more. There’s also an unlockable mode called Beatspell – use the magical power of rhythm to cast spells to defeat monsters! Featuring catchy original music, including tracks by renowned Japanese musician Tsunku.
