The Nuggets have another option to be the franchise’s next reserve center.

Marvin Bagley III agreed to sign a one-year deal with Denver late Wednesday night, according to an ESPN report.

Bagley was Sacramento’s selection with the second pick of the 2018 draft and has bounced around the league since. The 6-foot-10 big last played for the Mavericks, averaging 11 points and 6.8 rebounds across 22 games.

Denver operated with Jonas Valanciunas as Jokic’s backup for most of last season to mixed results. Valanciunas is reportedly considering offers to continue his career in Europe, leaving the Nuggets with a hole to fill behind Jokic.
