Dakota Johnson is arriving in style. On Friday, July 3, the Madame Web actress was spotted exiting her New York City hotel in a chic wedding guest ensemble that looks timeless from every angle.
In video footage obtained by The Cut, Johnson braved the New York City winds in a romantic scarf dress and peep-toe stilettos while exiting her hotel on her way to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s wedding. During the brief trek from the front door to her car, Johnson gave a sneak peek at her ensemble for the evening. Sticking with her signature monochrome color palette, she emerged in a black satin dress with a billowing skirt and a thigh-high slit.

The gown featured a halter neck design with ruching along the bust and scarf detailing that cascaded behind her as she strutted to her chauffeured car. As Johnson climbed inside, her security detail made sure to tuck the scarf away before shutting the door behind her.
The dress boasted a delicate skirt that flowed in every direction as Johnson braved the New York City winds. Up close, the design also featured a dramatic thigh-high slit that added a touch of edge to the otherwise classic ensemble.
Johnson accessorized with a Valentino Rockstud Spike crossbody clutch bag in black, which featured a quilted design and a gold chain shoulder strap. She completed the look with delicate diamond drop earrings and a pair of black peep-toe pumps with a stiletto heel and an embellished bow along the front. For her brief stroll outside, she also donned a pair of black sunglasses.
For her glam, Johnson wore her long dark hair straight past her shoulders as the wind blew her cropped bangs in all directions.

While Swift and Kelce’s wedding dress code was left broad, Johnson and other early arrivals have certainly delivered in the fashion department. So far, other confirmed guests include Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid—who opted for a pink sequins number at Swift’s wedding—Jack Antonoff, Mariska Hargatay, and Ed Sheeran.
Swift and Johnson, who have been close friends for over a decade, were last spotted together publicly in May 2025 when Swift and Johnson met up for dinner in New York City. In April, Swift also released an essay in honor of her friend as part of Time’s 100 Most Influential People of 2026 list, sharing a behind-the-scenes glimpse at their years-long friendship. In the essay, Swift praised Johnson’s “frank candor,” and referred to the actress as “one of the most empathetic people I’ve ever known.”
