CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Art Museum of South Texas is reopening this weekend just in time for the Fourth of July holiday after a temporary closure caused by an air conditioning outage.

Museum officials say the issue affected the Legorreta Building and Elizabeth’s, forcing the facility to close while repairs were completed.

With repairs finished, the museum is ready to welcome visitors back for the holiday weekend, offering guests the chance to once again explore exhibits, enjoy the waterfront setting, and take advantage of one of Corpus Christi’s cultural attractions.

The reopening comes as families and visitors across the Coastal Bend look for local activities and destinations to enjoy during the Fourth of July holiday.
