Justin Danforth

Justin Danforth has yet to play a game for the Buffalo Sabres as he signed a two-year deal this summer, but he falls into a similar category to Zucker. He is an older player who will be turning 33 this season, but could be a valuable veteran to a team competing for a playoff spot.

Danforth hasn’t had the production of Zucker, so he might not have the same level of interest, but with a reasonable AAV of $1.8 million, there might be enough to get a trade done.

Jacob Bryson

Time appears to be running out for Jacob Bryson, who has played in 48 or more games in three of the past four seasons for the Sabres. The 28-year-old is entering the final year of his contract, and with the moves made on the blue line, he really doesn’t have a regular spot and will probably be a healthy scratch more times than not.

This is a player who gives the Sabres depth on their defense but could be more valuable as part of a trade to improve another part of their roster. The production hasn’t been there in the past few seasons, so there might not be a lot of interest. However, if there is, the Sabres would certainly be interested in listening.
