The wedding of the year has been highly anticipated for quite some time. Ever since their engagement was announced last summer, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s fans have been eagerly awaiting the power couple’s official reception.

After settling on Madison Square Garden as the official venue for their ceremony, a multitude of close friends, family, and celebrities were in attendance on Friday night. However, a former quarterback who played with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end was surprised he didn’t receive an invite.

Travis Kelce Snubs Former Quarterback at Wedding With Taylor Swift

Kelce’s legendary career as a member of the Chiefs truly kicked into fifth gear with the arrival of Patrick Mahomes. The two have set numerous records together and have already won three Super Bowls and made it to five in their short time together.

However, Kelce’s time with the franchise precedes the arrival of Mahomes, as he was catching passes from the likes of Alex Smith, Nick Foles, and Chase Daniel. Still, the long list of invitees for his wedding did not include the latter, and Chase, and he shared his thoughts on social media.

Daniel has since transitioned to sports media, as he is now an analyst for ESPN. While the wedding took place, the 14-year NFL veteran made his feelings clear on the snub.

“Can’t believe my invite to Taylor & Travis’ wedding never came,” Daniel wrote on X. “Feels like throwing Travis Kelce his first NFL TD should’ve at least earned me a seat at the kids’ table.”

It’s worth noting that Daniel threw a laughing emoji at the end, so this was likely a tongue-in-cheek post. He followed up his post with a second tweet, sharing the video of Kelce catching his first NFL touchdown from Daniel with the caption, “Proof.”

It is somewhat surprising Daniel wasn’t invited given the list of NFL attendees included some individuals who never played with or coached Kelce (such as Mike Vrabel, Baker Mayfield, Cooper Kupp, and so on).

Kelce’s career has seen him total over 13,000 receiving yards and 82 touchdowns in the regular season, but his first NFL touchdown has to hold a special place in Kelce’s memory. Unfortunately for Daniel, it wasn’t enough to secure him an invite.

Trying to maintain their privacy, the pair haven’t released any details about the closed-door ceremony inside the Garden. But details, like the Cartier jewelry for Swift, the custom Christian Louboutin shoes for the two, and Adam Sandler serving as officiant, have started to emerge.

Eventually, pictures and videos should give fans a closer look at everything that went down at the ceremony, including the superstar guests in attendance.
