Risk of severe weather in Northwest Arkansas and the River Valley tonight

The 40/29 Get Ready Weather team is tracking the threat of severe weather in the overnight hours. A potent round of storms could arrive in parts of Northwest Arkansas and the River Valley late Saturday night and persist into early Sunday morning. Rain should be completely out of the viewing area by the mid-morning hours on Sunday.The Storm Prediction Center has nearly all of the 40/29 viewing area in a Slight Risk (level 2 out of 5) for severe weather. However, portions of Sequoyah, far northwestern LeFlore, and far western Benton County are under an Enhanced Risk (level 3 out of 5) for severe weather. Damaging winds, small hail, and locally heavy rain are the primary concerns with this overnight round of storms.Meteorologist Cole Makos will have the updated timing and track on 40/29 News at 9:00 and 10:00 p.m. on Saturday. The 40/29 Get Ready Weather team is tracking the threat of severe weather in the overnight hours.

A potent round of storms could arrive in parts of Northwest Arkansas and the River Valley late Saturday night and persist into early Sunday morning. Rain should be completely out of the viewing area by the mid-morning hours on Sunday.

The Storm Prediction Center has nearly all of the 40/29 viewing area in a Slight Risk (level 2 out of 5) for severe weather. However, portions of Sequoyah, far northwestern LeFlore, and far western Benton County are under an Enhanced Risk (level 3 out of 5) for severe weather.
