AND MULTIPLE PEOPLE HOSPITALIZED. POLICE SAY THAT A VEHICLE LINKED TO AN AGGRAVATED ROBBERY TRIED TO FLEE OFFICERS, BEFORE THEN CRASHING ON A RAILROAD BRIDGE IN WINSTON HILLS. WLWT NEWS FIVE’S GIACOMO LUCA LIVE FOR US AT DISTRICT FOUR HEADQUARTERS THIS MORNING. GIACOMO POLICE SAY ALL OF THIS STARTED WITH THAT STOLEN CAR QUICKLY TURNED INTO A MAJOR RESCUE OPERATION. YEAH, THAT’S RIGHT. MEGAN AND CINCINNATI POLICE SAY THAT THERE WERE SEVERAL PEOPLE INSIDE THAT VEHICLE AFTER IT CRASHED. THEY’VE NOW BEEN TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL FOR TREATMENT AND EVALUATION. IT ALL STARTED WITH CINCINNATI POLICE FOLLOWING A REPORTED STOLEN VEHICLE. THAT DRIVER THEN MOVED TOWARDS A RAILROAD BRIDGE BEFORE CRASHING INTO A CREEK. AND THIS DISPATCH AUDIO SHOWING THOSE CHAOTIC MOMENTS AFTER THE CRASH. THIS VEHICLE FLIPPED OFF THE EMBANKMENT HERE DOWN INTO THE MILL CREEK. I GOT ONE SUBJECT GETTING OUT OF THE CAR. WE’RE BLACK AND WHITE SWEATSHIRT. YOU CAN BE A PASSENGER. I GOT TWO OUT OF THE CAR. THE DRIVER AND ONE PASSENGER. THERE’S STILL TWO IN THE CAR THAT ARE STUCK IN TRAPPED. AND THERE’S NO WAY FOR ME TO GET DOWN HERE. THERE’S ABOUT A 30 FOOT DROP. AND POLICE SAY THIS ALL STARTED JUST BEFORE 10:00 LAST NIGHT NEAR CENTER HILL AND SD AVENUES. THAT’S WHEN OFFICERS LOCATED A STOLEN VEHICLE CONNECTED TO AN AGGRAVATED ROBBERY THAT HAPPENED EARLIER IN THE EVENING. INVESTIGATORS SAY THE DRIVER FLED, LEADING POLICE OFFICERS ON A CHASE TOWARD THE RAILROAD TRACKS IN WOODLAND HILLS. POLICE SAY THAT VEHICLE THEN ATTEMPTED TO DRIVE ACROSS THE RAILROAD BRIDGE BEFORE CRASHING INTO MILL CREEK. THE CRASH TRIGGERED A LARGE EMERGENCY RESPONSE, WITH CREWS SPENDING HOURS WORKING TO REACH THE VEHICLE. AND THOSE PEOPLE INSIDE. OUR CAMERAS WERE ALSO THERE AS THAT MANGLED VEHICLE WAS EVENTUALLY PULLED FROM THE MILL CREEK. POLICE SAY CHARGES ARE EXPECTED AGAINST THE PEOPLE INVOLVED IN THIS. UNCLEAR HOW MANY PEOPLE MAY HAVE BEEN INVOLVED. ALSO UNCLEAR WHAT THEIR CONDITION IS EARLY THIS MORNING. Cincinnati police say that first responders remain on scene after a vehicle fell into the Mill Creek on Sunday night.According to CPD, the vehicle entered the creek in North Fairmount near the intersection of Beekman Street and Cummins Street.Officers reported receiving the first call about the vehicle entering the creek at 8:54 p.m.It was not immediately clear to police dispatch if anyone was injured as a result of the incident.This is the third time this month that a vehicle has fallen into the Mill Creek. On June 23, a stolen vehicle crashed into the creek in Winton Hills after a police chase.
