Koby Brea is signing another two-way contract to return to the Suns, ESPN’s Shams Charania tweets. The move is now official, according to NBA.com’s transaction log.
Phoenix issued Brea a two-way qualifying offer on June 18, making him a restricted free agent. In all likelihood, he simply accepted that qualifying offer, which is equivalent to a one-year, two-way contract with a $91K partial guarantee.
Brea appeared in 12 NBA games as a rookie after being drafted with the 41st overall pick in 2025. The 23-year-old played a larger role in the G League, averaging 16.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in 34.2 minutes per game across 34 outings for the Valley Suns, with a shooting line of .398/.349/.842.
Brea spent the bulk of college career with Dayton before transferring to Kentucky in his final season. As a “super-senior,” he averaged 11.6 points per game and led the Southeastern Conference in three-point shooting at 43.5%.
All three of Phoenix’s two-way slots are now occupied, with Brea joining Pat Spencer and CJ Huntley.
