Saraland (Ala.) Rivals300 edge rusher Keoni Snipes is excited to see where the recruiting process continues to take him.
Heading into his junior season there are already a few programs catching his eye.
Schools that are doing a great job recruiting Snipes early include the likes of Florida, Oklahoma and Texas A&M.
The Sooners landed Snipes’s teammate in quarterback Jamison Roberts as one of the jewels of their No. 6 ranked 2027 class and they’ve got the full-court press on for him in 2028.
Snipes visited Norman in April.
“The amazing coaching staff and environment,” he said of what stands out. “Coach (Miguel) Chavis is my primary recruiter. Coach Chav, Coach (Todd) Bates and Coach (Brent) V(enables) play a huge role with them being so high on my list with them wanting to know about me and myself more than ‘oh yeah man commit commit commit.’ That’s what really draws me to them the most. They also have amazing guys in the locker room.”
Texas A&M has Rivals No. 1 class in 2027 and as they pivot to 2028 Snipes is one of their most coveted targets.
“Coach (Mike) E(lko) and Coach Malik Davis,” Snipes highlighted. “They also have amazing facilities and they’re history of having the loudest stadium in college football. I must get up there to see that in person.”
Florida will also be one to watch throughout Snipes recruitment. His last visit of the summer was for the Grille in the Ville event.
“Coach Sumrall is a great coach. I like their defensive scheme, I know it’s an amazing honor to play in The Swamp as a Florida Gator!”
Ranked as the Rivals Industry’s No. 12 edge rusher and No. 100 prospect overall, other offers for Snipes include Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Nebraska, Indiana, Oregon and Notre Dame.
