ROCHESTER — The TABLE, a 15-member collective of people with lived experience facing homelessness, is launching a mural project at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 11, under the Center Street bridge.
Saturday’s work on the mural, which is located on the west side of the bridge north of Mayo Park, is expected to last two hours.
The mural project seeks to bring together a variety of individuals and community organizations, including a professional artist duo, a key artist from Rochester’s unhoused community, Rochester Art Center, and Zumbro Valley Medical Society Street Medicine.
Community members are also invited to help create a doodle grid for the muralists to use to overlay the design.
“We will work together to beautify downtown Rochester and communicate a sense of belonging to all our community members,” the
states.
