Man flees police in Bend; last seen near Neff and 27th

A Bend man wanted for domestic assault fled a traffic stop and remained at large as of 8 p.m. Thursday.
According to Bend Police, officers were en route to a threat at St. Charles Hospital in Bend when an officer attempted to pull over the suspect in a July 7 domestic assault. The man fled the vehicle and ran toward a nearby apartment complex at the intersection of Northeast Neff Road and 27th Street.
The man was described as a white man, 155 pounds, 6’1 feet tall wearing a black hat, black T-shirt, gray camouflage cargo shorts, white socks and black shoes. He has multiple tattoos across his body up to his neck.
After flying multiple drones and deploying multiple police dogs in the area, officers have been unable to locate the man.
Deschutes County 911 Dispatch issued an alert to 1,971 homes and businesses near the area, urging the public to stay indoors.
Police urged people to call 911 if they see someone who matches the suspect’s decription.
