The WRAL Breaking News Tracker came across a forceful fountain of water streaming out of a hole in the ground in Durham.
The water main break was in a neighborhood on Radcliff Circle near Revere Road, close to Parkwood Elementary School. There appeared to be no impact to traffic.
At 4:45 a.m., WRAL’s photojournalist estimated the water fountain spewing from the ground is about 30 feet high.
Utility crews from Durham Water Management were at the scene. This story will be updated.
