The Minnesota Lynx are celebrating a historic milestone after coach Cheryl Reeve became the winningest coach in WNBA regular-season history.

Reeve earned her 380th career victory Wednesday night when the Lynx defeated the Connecticut Sun 86-80, breaking a tie with former Washington Mystics and Connecticut Sun coach Mike Thibault for the league record.

Players and staff gathered on Friday at the team’s practice facility to celebrate the achievement, and Reeve was emotional at her press conference.

“I found me and I found my voice in the WNBA. This is incredibly special for me today,” Reeve said.

A four-time WNBA Coach of the Year, Reeve has led Minnesota to four WNBA championships and six Finals appearances. She also holds the league record for postseason coaching victories.
