All 14 Big 12 programs saw at least two players drafted in the 2026 MLB Draft, as a total of 56 players were selected by Major League Baseball organizations. The 56 selections tied for the third-most in Conference history with the 2008, 2011 and 2025 seasons.
The Draft was highlighted by 16 picks on Saturday in rounds 1-4, followed by 40 on Sunday in rounds 5-20. The 16 picks in the first four rounds are the most in Conference history.
Arizona State led the Conference and tied for the third-most selections in this year’s draft with 10 players drafted. Houston, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and West Virginia tied for the second-most players selected with five apiece.
For Arizona State, it is the most since the Sun Devils had 10 selections in 2012 and the 19th time in program history to record double-digit selections.
The Big 12 had a player drafted by 27 of the 30 MLB programs, with the St. Louis Cardinals picking the most with seven. Five Big 12 programs had five or more selections through the two-day draft.
