Movies in the Park Returns Friday with Free Showing of ‘Smurfs’
Families can enjoy another free night of outdoor entertainment as Albuquerque’s Movies in the Park series continues Friday at Mariposa Basin Park
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —
Albuquerque families have another opportunity to enjoy a movie under the stars as the city’s annual Movies in the Park series continues Friday, July 17 evening.
This week’s featured film is Smurfs, which will be shown at Mariposa Basin Park. Gates open at 7 p.m., with the movie scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.
Admission is free.
The free summer series, hosted by the City of Albuquerque, brings family-friendly films to neighborhood parks, encouraging residents to enjoy community spaces while spending time outdoors.
The Movies in the Park schedule wraps up over the next two weeks:
July 24- Hoppers at Manzano Mesa ParkJuly 31- The Super Mario Galaxy Movie at Winrock Park.
Organizers recommend arriving early to find a good viewing spot and bringing lawn chairs, blankets and snacks for a comfortable evening.
