I am hoping that the wildfire smoke clears out in time for the game but the air was pretty nasty yesterday.
MLB released 2027 schedules yesterday while releasing propaganda about the need for a salary cap. Ironic because there is zero chance that full schedule is played if the league insists on a cap. Only soft cap/soft floor proposals have a chance at avoiding missed games. But, anyway, you can take a look at a schedule I believe has little chance of holding up here if you want:
The Athletic put out a very interesting article looking at metrics that predict if a given team can win a World Series. The Guardians were not one of the seven teams to accrue “yes’s” in most of the metrics. Mostly because of their putrid offense but also bullpen meltdowns were a problem.
