BREAKING: Columbus Junction Man Escapes Work Release Program | KCII Radio – The One to Count On
A Columbus Junction man most recently convicted of burglary and causing willful injury in Louisa County has escaped from work release, according to the Iowa Department of Corrections .
On August 6th, 31-year old Joshua Michael Bergen failed to report back from his work release to the Lary A. Nelson Residential Center in Cedar Rapids .Â
In addition to his most recent Louisa County conviction, Bergen was convicted for willful injury following a 2012 stabbing in Washington County, domestic abuse and assault charges in Louisa county, and two previous escape from custody charges, the most recent of which was a similar failure to report back from work release in April of 2024. Those with information about Bergen’s whereabouts should contact local law enforcement.
