HENDERSON, Ky. (WFIE) – An intersection in Henderson will be closed temporarily while a vibrant new street mural is painted.
City officials say the intersection of Letcher Street and Powell Street is closed, and that it’s scheduled to reopen Monday, July 20, at 10 a.m.
Painting took place on Saturday morning, and community members were able to “leave their mark” by participating in the project.
In addition to community volunteers, the project was an initiative by the “Henderson Leadership Initiative” nonprofit organization.
