ASCENSION PARISH, La. (WAFB) – Three boats were involved in a crash on the Amite River Saturday night, according to information confirmed by the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said eight people were total across the boats involved. Multiple people were ejected during the incident.
One person was transported by air medical helicopter, and three others were transported by Acadian Ambulance, officials said.
The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office, Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office, and Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries responded to the scene.
