With the offseason right in the heart of mid-July, Alabama was nice enough to update the RollTide.com roster with the summer enrollees for the 2026 class with their new numbers. They have heights and weights, too, but all of them have the same sizes as they were listed from their recruiting profiles, so I don’t imagine they are actually up to date sizes.
In any case, here are the new guys:
#66 – OL – Jared Graham (was Jared Doughty while being recruited)
#93 – DL – Malique Franklin
The two receivers, Sabb and Walker, both getting jerseys in the 20s pretty much tell you all you need to know about their place on the roster. At this point, they’re players who, in the 85-man scholarship limit days, would have been walk-ons, but are now scholarship players who just aren’t paid the NIL that the higher profile recruits were. The Tide has an strong top-5 depth chart at wide receiver, but severely lack bodies behind that, so getting these two in before fall camp should be really helpful to the team.
Along the defensive line, Nolan Wilson and Malique Franklin are both high upside recruits who are likely to bulk up and become lengthy interior rushers. And on the offensive line, Bear Fretwell and Jared Graham join as depth for offensive tackle. Fretwell in particular is one of those extremely high upside players that had a fairly low recruiting ranking due to his level of competition and a late season injury that likely means he won’t play his freshman year. Finally, four star OT Jared Doughty has changed his name to Jared Graham.
The Tide also added a couple of walk-ons in DB George French and long snapper Eli Deutsch, plus they added a JUCO transfer we hadn’t previously heard about, LB Bubba Odom, from East Mississippi Community College. It’s unclear if Odom is a a scholarship player or a walk-on, but it seems he’ll have a couple of years of eligibility.
