FARGO — Fargo Public Works is asking drivers to avoid the area after a water main break on 13th Avenue South.
Crews responded around 3 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, to the area of 13th Avenue South and 15th Street South.
Fargo Public Works Supervisor Darrell Sweep told WDAY News that an 18-inch water main broke inside a construction zone.
Crews have been making storm sewer repairs on 13th Avenue South from University Drive to 15th Street South this week.

There was standing water on 13th Avenue South. Crews were able to stop the water flow and drain the water off the road.
Some roads in the area are closed due to the break and Sweep said roads that are open are muddy and slick.
He said they do not know yet what caused the water main break.
Six or seven homes were also impacted by the break.
