ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Albuquerque native and four-time PGA Tour winner, Notah Begay III, is expected to be back in the metro after receiving a PGA Tour award.

Begay will be in the area for the final day of the Native Youth Golf Championship. It comes after the 53-year-old was named the recipient of this year’s Payne Stewart Award, in recognition of being the founder of Native-led nonprofit NB3 Foundation.

The award honors the recipient’s character, sportsmanship and commitment to charitable giving.

Begay will be honored at an award ceremony, set for Aug. 25 in downtown Atlanta.
