UPDATE: Hagan Fire in Umatilla prompts new ‘go now’ evacuations

UMATILLA COUNTY — The Hagan Fire burning in the Umatilla National Forest has prompted more Level 3 “go now” evacuations.
The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office and Umatilla County Emergency Operation Center in cooperation with the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation and Northwest Incident Management Team 7 announced the upgraded evacuation levels Thursday night, July 22.
The following areas along Bingham Road to the east and west of the CTUIR boundary have been elevated to the following:
ELEVATED FROM LEVEL 1 (BE READY) to NOW LEVEL 2 (BE SET)
Areas north and south of Bingham Road just west of Iskuulpa Road:

ELEVATED FROM LEVEL 2 (BE SET) TO NOW LEVEL 3 (GO NOW!)
Areas along Bingham Road to the north and south of Gibbon and the areas north of Bingham Road from Isskuulpa Road east to Lick Creek.

Residents in LEVEL 3 areas should leave immediately. Imminent danger in the area. Leave without delay. It is unsafe to stay.
