The Wolves are 6-0 in their last six games against the Nuggets, including two playoff wins.
MINNEAPOLIS — Minnesota sports will be featured prominently on Christmas Day with the announcement that the Timberwolves will once again play on Dec. 25.
On Tuesday, the NBA announced a handful of holiday matchups, with the Wolves rounding out a five-game slate on Christmas Day. Minnesota will play on the road against the 2023 NBA Champion Denver Nuggets at 9:30 p.m.
The Vikings also have a massive matchup on Christmas Day with the defending NFC North champion Detroit Lions. The game could have massive playoff implications if the season plays out anything like last year, when the division wasn’t decided until the final game of the regular season. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. at U.S. Bank Stadium.
The Vikings have played on Christmas Day four times in franchise history, with the last time coming in 2020 against New Orleans. This will be the Wolves’ fourth time playing on Dec. 25 and the second consecutive year, after they defeated the Dallas Mavericks 105-99 last Christmas. The Wolves are 6-0 over the Nuggets over the last six games, including two playoff wins.
