Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark is arguably the face of the WNBA, continuing to set records, put butts in the seats, and bring the television ratings in the same way that she has since breaking onto the scene as a prolific scorer at Iowa.

While Clark has never won a major championship, she has helped to elevate the game and brought “excitement” that a casual fan thought women’s college basketball and the WNBA were lacking.

Now, as a player who has never been afraid to shoot from the logo, she has developed a loyal following and has helped to revolutionize the game.

But while Clark is a star on the court, she has largely kept her personal life off of the court private. Despite her privacy, fans do get the occassional glimpse at what makes the superstar guard tick when she’s away from the game.

Does Caitlin Clark have a boyfriend?

Since bursting onto the scene and shattering long-standing NCAA records during her time with the Iowa Hawkeyes, Clark has been dating Connor McCaffery, who was also a Hawkeyes basketball palyer.

The couple met while they were student-athletes at the university, and officially began dating in April 2023. He has since been an avid supporter of Clark, and can often be seen in the stands during her games.

McCaffery comes from a basketball family, with his father, Fran McCaffery, serving as head coach of the Iowa men’s basketball team from 2010 to 2025. He previously served as head coach at Lehigh, UNC Greensboro, and Siena, and accepted the job at Ivy League school Penn in 2025. During his first year leading Penn, the Quakers won the Ivy League tournament.

Connor McCaffery, meanwhile, has served as a team assistant the Indiana Pacers, an assistant coach at Butler, and he is currently a player development assistant for the Noblesville Boom, who are the NBA G-League affiliate of the Pacers.

McCaffery is not related to NFL star Christian McCaffery.
