American League Central Division foes face off on Thursday afternoon as the Cleveland Guardians wrap up their homestand in a matinee matchup against the visiting Minnesota Twins, in search of their first series win since the All-Star Break. Minnesota ended their four-game losing streak with a win on Wednesday night powered by a four-run fourth inning, capped off by a Brooks Lee three-run bomb to blow the game open. The Guardians will send right-hander Gavin Williams (10-5, 4.00 ERA) to the mound while Minnesota will counter with righty Taj Bradley (9-4, 3.85 ERA) off his worst outing in a month where he gave up five earned runs in a loss to the Cubs on Saturday.

Despite not having homered in 10 games, Twins center fielder Byron Buxton ranks eighth in Major League Baseball with his team leading 25 home runs this season, marking his third career campaign with 25 or more dingers and second in a row after belting 35 homers a year ago. Buxton, in his 12th season in Minnesota, is seven home runs away from 200 for his career, and would be the ninth batter in Twins history to surpass that career mark.

Guardians rookie right-fielder Chase DeLauter leads the team in RBIs and batting average, hitting .287 at the plate this season, ranking him 21st in all of MLB.
