HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) – Both Augusta Health and Sentara RMH Medical Center have been named among the top hospitals in the commonwealth in Forbes’ 2026 Top Hospitals by State report.
The Forbes Top Hospitals by State methodologies use healthcare quality measures from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Both hospitals earned an overall 5-star rating, with other criteria measuring patient outcomes, best practices, value and the patient experience. The two facilities are the only ones in the Shenandoah Valley included in the list among 21 in Virginia and 781 overall.
Mary Mannix, president and CEO of Augusta Health, said the recognition is a testament to the hospital’s commitment to “safe, compassionate, high-quality care.”
