Perseid meteor shower to peak Tuesday night, Wednesday morning in New Hampshire sky

ROCHESTER, AND IN BERLIN FOR TONIGHT. FAIR SKIES. TEMPERATURES ARE GOING TO FALL BACK INTO THE 50S. AND HERE’S GOOD NEWS WITH THE CLEAR SKIES OUT THERE FOR TONIGHT. A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO VIEW ONE OF THE GREAT SPECTACLES IN THE SKY. AND FOR MUCH MORE ON THAT CHANCE TONIGHT, DESPITE A NEARLY FULL MOON THAT HAPPENED A SHORT TIME AGO, WE’LL SEND IT OUTDOORS IN MANCHESTER TO MATT HOENIG, WHO IS IN THE HEAT, BUT ALSO TALKING ABOUT WHAT’S HAPPENING IN THE SKIES TONIGHT. HI, MATT. HI THERE MIKE. YEAH, THIS WILL BE A NICE TREAT FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE ENDURED THE HEAT TODAY AND ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING SOME METEORS IN THE NIGHT SKY TONIGHT. AND AS MIKE MENTIONED, AFTER A HOT DAY, THE TEMPERATURES WILL BE FALLING OFF QUICKLY OVERNIGHT. NOW, THIS METEOR SHOWER NOT COMING AT THE MOST OPPORTUNE TIME HERE IN THE GRANITE STATE. WE ARE JUST A FEW DAYS REMOVED FROM THE FULL STURGEON MOON THAT WAS BACK ON FRIDAY NIGHT, AND THAT MOONLIGHT CAN ACTUALLY REDUCE THE NUMBER OF METEORS WE SEE BY ABOUT 75%. SO AS A RESULT, WE MAY ONLY GET TO SEE ABOUT 10 TO 20 OR SO PER HOUR, BUT THAT WILL STILL BE PLENTY TO LOOK FORWARD TO IN THE NIGHT SKY TONIGHT. BEST VIEWED TONIGHT AS OPPOSED TO TOMORROW NIGHT, AS WE’LL HAVE THE CLEAR SKIES ON THIS TUESDAY. YOU REALLY WANT TO GET AWAY FROM CITY LIGHTS? FIND A NICE OPEN VIEW OF THE SKY AND GIVE YOUR TIME. GIVE SOME TIME FOR YOUR EYES TO ADJUST TO THE NIGHT SKY BEFORE SEEING THOSE METEORS. BEST VIEWING CONDITIONS. ABOUT 11:00 THIS EVENING AND 3 A.M. TOMORROW MORNING. SPEAKING OF ALL OF THIS HEAT, WE HAVE THE TEMPERATURES STILL TRENDING HOTTER ON WEDNESDAY, BUT SOME RELIEF FROM THAT HEAT IS S
