According to a GoFundMe organized after the flooding, Al and Linda Turcott opened the Olde Sawmill Miniature Golf Course and Grill in 1994 as a retirement passion project. The fundraiser said the flood dislodged the golf shack, damaged about half of the course and destroyed the former restaurant building.
The fundraiser said the damage threatened the future of the seasonal business and was organized by Al Turcott’s daughter, Allison Blakeman, and his granddaughter, Brittany, to help with cleanup and recovery.
