Once she finishes her rookie season in the WNBA, Duluth’s Gianna Kneepkens is set to head overseas. The Hilltopper legend has agreed to join the Tasmania Jewels, an expansion team in Australia’s Women’s National Basketball League.

After landing with the Connecticut Sun in the first round of April’s draft, Kneepkens is averaging three points and one rebound while playing eight minutes per game.

By signing with Tasmania, the guard becomes the club’s first international signee ahead of its inaugural campaign.

Kneepkens and the Jewels hit the court on October 15 to face the Geelong Venom.
