The Wisconsin Badgers made their biggest splash of the Robin Pingeton era, landing a commitment from four-star in-state forward Adaline Sheplee, she announced over the weekend.

Sheplee, a native of Rice Lake, Wisconsin, is considered the No. 32 recruit in the Class of 2026 by ESPN and the No. 51 recruit by 247Sports.

“I’ve loved how they talk about their player development,” Sheplee said, via On3’s Talia Goodman. “They’ve been very specific with it, and that was a big part that was important to me in my process. Also, they like to play fast, and they’re very specific and honest about where they see me and how I fit into their style of play. I really appreciated that during the process.”

“Just being able to represent my home state,” Sheplee continued. “My first visit was to Wisconsin and ever since I was little, you always watched your home team growing up. My whole family – everybody reps Wisconsin gear, and so to be part of that is just really exciting.”

Standing 6’3, Sheplee has over a dozen offers, including from Michigan, TCU, Iowa State, Clemson, Louisville, Miami, and others. As a junior, the forward averaged 24.1 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 3.2 steals, and 1.4 blocks in 33.2 minutes a contest for Rice Lake.

The Badgers have gone through an overhaul following the resignation of head coach Marisa Moseley and the addition of Robin Pingeton at the helm. Not only have they changed the coaching staff dramatically, but Wisconsin has also added seven transfers for the upcoming season.

Sheplee is considered Wisconsin’s highest-rated recruit in over 25 years.
