GILFORD — Homemade pie, Sawyer’s ice cream, books, puzzles and DVDs are all for sale at the Gilford Public Library at Old Home Day. For those wanting a head start on the festivities, slices of locally crafted pie (with or without ice cream) and book sale items are available for sale on Friday, Aug. 22, 3-6 p.m.  The sale continues on Gilford Old Home Day on Saturday, Aug. 23, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. New this year, the sale will also include a raffle for a new gas grill.

All proceeds from these sales are used to support the Gilford Public Library. The funds raised are used for many library programs and events, including purchase of general use passes to several NH museums and the summer reading programs.
